Lab 1-Geography 335
In lab 1, the goal was to put myself into the place of an intern at Clear Vision Eau Claire. I learned more about the "Confluence Project" development in order to successfully complete a report containing all relevant information for base maps for the Confluence Project. While completing this lab assignment, I continued to develop my ArcGIS skills by applying them to a real world situation. By doing so, I think that I now have a better understanding of the application of ArcGIS to my life (here in Eau Claire, Wisconsin). In order to reach my goal, I carefully created 6 maps of relevant information for the Eau Claire Confluence Project. The results of my map show that the proposed site for the Confluence Project seems to be in a good place for renovation. The proposed site is located right in the middle of the city of Eau Claire, so there are less residential areas to worry about during construction, and the proposed site is also located within one parcel within the Eau Claire township. The source for my map is the; City of Eau Claire and Eau Claire County 2013.
